The run to Land's End has ignited a passion for multi-day adventures in the running shoes, it has also shown me the areas I need to work on. Injury prevention and strength training are forming part of my training programme now. I am undertaking a full bio-mechanic assessment too, hoping this will provide me with an insight to how my body moves and seeking out changes I can make to running form.
Marathons, half-marathons and organised 10K's will unlikely be a feature for me, they are not where I am wanting to go and neither do they excite me enough.
Self-planned long trails runs and multi-day adventures are where I am headed. Coming back from cancer has shown me I need to explore more, both exploring our planet but also exploration of what makes me tick.
The photo in this section was taken in July '22, I was in the France, exploring the Drome valley on mountain bikes and also running with one of our sons. Temperatures wickedly hot at top 30's - but the scenery breathtaking.
I must give up work and spend more time running!
Like many I have to balance running with all other aspects of life, thankfully I have a hugely supportive family who see how much enjoyment and all the benefits I get from running.
