The Burger Run 2025 - my run to Diddly Squat

Description

A 34 mile ultra finishing at Diddly Squat/Clarksons Farm where I went to thank Clarkson for saving my life.  The run turned out to be so much more than I had ever imagined with so much media coverage, radio interviews and an appearance on BBC News.  Creating awareness of testicular cancer is important to me, and on this run with all the coverage I'd think we have reached well over a million pairs of eyes.

The run kicked off my year of ultras as I look to complete 4 this year supporting those navigating cancer.

Lasting Memory

Meeting Mark and Annie at The Farmers Dog, and the incredible welcome from Niamh, Lucinda and the team at Diddly Squat.  They made my day and this ultra is going to be hard to beat.  A thank you to Annie & Scott from Baste  for treating me to a delicious burger at Diddly Squat, I'd been looking forward to it for months!

50K Doughnut Run London - for Oddballs - April '24

Description

Doughnuts and running, that is a marriage made in heaven.  I designed this route running to 21 Krispy Kreme stores across the Capital from Stratford to Canary Wharf.

It was a fabulous day, the Krispy Kreme teams at the stores so welcoming and excited to see me, the public fantastic as I ran 35 miles across London and lots of conversation around testicular cancer awareness.

24-Hour Treadmill run for ChemoHero - Jan 2024

Description

24 hours running anywhere would be tough, but on a treadmill was another level in toughness.  I designed  this challenge to support an incredible cancer charity that make a huge difference to patients receiving chemotherapy.

It was beyond hard, the body took an extreme pounding over the 24 hours but I completed every step across every hour.

Lasting Memory

The incredible support from gym members and the running community around the world.  I had many come to visit, to run alongside me and that video called me throughout the night-time hours to ensure I was awake.

Treadmill Ultra 50K - April 2023

Description

A 50K ultra on a treadmill in the middle of a busy shopping centre.  Who came up with that idea?  Oh that would be me!

The idea dreamt up during a treadmill session at the gym which very quickly grew legs.  It was a day full of high energy, incredible shoppers who stopped to engage and those that choose to run a mile of two alongside me on a second treadmill I had there.

That this may have been a first, did have a quick Google search and not seen it done before.  And that this is definitely not the last you have seen of me, the treadmill, a 50K and a public place.  Watch this space.

Running Westward Ho! - September 2022

Description

A tough run by any measure.  170 miles along the South West Coast Path delivering up over 25,000ft of elevation gain, rough single track, deep river valleys and challenging climbs.

Starting at Westward Ho! on the north Devon coast and tracking along both the north Devon and Cornwall coastlines until the finish at the iconic sign at Land's End and a cream tea (actually 2 cream teas) at the Land's End hotel.

This was a solo run I designed myself through some of the West Countries  most stunning landscapes.

The people I met.  At every turn there were so many amazing people who cheered me on, who stopped to chat and who supported the fundraising.
